The objective was to familiarize myself with the formal and conceptual elements of signs and icons by creating symbols through a structured process. The field, optics, lent itself to an interesting brainstorming process that lead to a matrix methodology of concept and image creation. This is the final board followed by the sketchbook process and three vector options.
